What to include, if you want the most useful reply
None of this is required — a one-line question is fine — but the more of it you include, the more specific our first reply can be: your rough postcode area (planning and network-operator context differ by city), what the roof is covered with (concrete tile, slate, felt flat roof), whether you're thinking about a battery, and roughly what you pay for electricity a month. If you've already had quotes and something in them puzzles you — an unexplained price gap, a missing scaffolding line, a "sign today" discount — paste the puzzling bit in; decoding other people's quotes is something we do a lot of, and it costs you nothing.
